501(c)(3) Status - Pending

Welcome to 2019! We at the Brockwood Foundation are beginning to ramp up this year's programs and initiatives, so I wanted to give you all a status on where we are at. Unfortunately, the Federal Government shutdown is affecting our pending non-profit 501(c)(3) status. Our application was submitted in July and went through the 6 month review process. Right around the time that we were expecting the determination letter form the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Executive Branch and Legislative Branch were not able to come to agreement on a bill that would keep some parts of the Government open (which included the Internal Revenue Service). We understand that having this status has a major effect on our organization to bring in donors, so we will keep you posted as we receive more information. Thanks!
